How to Add Taxes to Orders

To include taxes in order prices, follow these steps:
  1. Open OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Select the Prices view on the left.
  3. Set your Current View to Price Modifiers.
  4. Create a new price modifier.
  5. Set the Type (found under the Advanced tab) to Tax.
  6. Set the Calculation Type to Flat Percent and enter the appropriate Value.
  7. Enter the Name for the modifier.
  8. Save the new price modifier.
  9. Set your Current View to Price Sets.
  10. Double-click on any price sets that should include tax calculations.
  11. In the resulting window, select the Price Modifiers tab on the left.
  12. Locate your new price modifier in the resulting list. Check the box to the left of the price modifier's name to associate it with the price set.
  13. Ensure that the Selection State dropdown list for the price modifier is set to Required (Always Selected).
  14. If the price modifier is percent-based, a button labeled Configure will appear. Click this button to specify which charges in the price set should be included in the tax calculation.
  15. Repeat steps 10 to 14 for all price sets requiring tax calculations.
