Request Read Receipt from Mail Client when Sending Notifications

The OnTime Workflow Designer supports the ability to request a read receipt from the mail client. This can help the sender confirm that a notification email message has been viewed by the recipient. The read receipt will be returned to the address in the From field of the workflow notification.
Remember: Read receipts depend on support from the mail client used by the recipient and sometimes requires that the recipient acknowledges that the read receipt can be sent. As a result, you should not rely on read receipts as a way of knowing that your message was received and read by the recipient.
Follow these steps to request a read receipt on a workflow notification:
  1. Open OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Select Workflow Notification Designer from the Home tab.
  3. Open or create a notification.
  4. Enter a checkmark in the box next to Request read receipt from mail client.
  5. Choose OK to save.
Note: Read receipts and delivery receipts are only available for notifications when using your own mail server. They are not available when using the OnTime Mail Server.
