The OnTime Customer Web Portal supports using a custom domain name, or hostname, in addition to the standard URL which usually references an OnTime website. The process of personalizing the URL is sometimes referred to as "masking". You must have control over your DNS records to make the necessary changes.
Follow these steps to use a custom domain or hostname:
  1. Create a DNS CNAME record that points your domain or hostname to the alias portal.ontime360.com. We recommend that you use a CNAME record so that you can use an alias instead of an IP address. This is necessary because the IP address associated with the Customer Web Portal may change and using an alias will allow such changes to occur without interrupting your site’s availability.
  2. Contact OnTime customer support and inform them of your custom domain or hostname. The OnTime team will configure your Customer Web Portal to respond to your custom domain or hostname.
For additional information on customizing your Customer Web Portal experience, see How to Add the Customer Web Portal to Your Website.

Sample

The following DNS record would properly configure the host name "orders" to point back to OnTime's servers.
Name TTL Class Type    Data
orders 3600 IN CNAME portal.ontime360.com
