How to Create a Wait Time Price Modifier

Some businesses want to charge for the time a driver must wait at either collection or delivery locations. Within OnTime Management Suite, you can create a price modifier to calculate a price based on wait time.
The following steps outline creating a price modifier to charge $7 for every 5 minutes of waiting:
  1. Open OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Select the Prices section.
  3. Choose the Price Modifier radial.
  4. Select New Price Modifier from the top left.
  5. Enter the Name of the modifier.
  6. Set the Calculation type to Incremental Overage Amount.
  7. Set the Field to either Collection Wait Time (Seconds) or Delivery Wait Time (Seconds).
  8. In this example, the Increment is set to "300". The increment defines how often the value will be applied. Because wait time is stored as the total number of seconds, 300 seconds equals 5 minutes.
  9. Set the Amount per increment to "5".
  10. Save the price modifier.
The OnTime Mobile app uses a timer feature that the driver will use to record the start and stop of their wait time at any collection or delivery location.
