How to Create a Discount Price Modifier

Some companies may wish to offer a discount to a loyal customer or as a promotion. OnTime allows administrators to create a discount price modifier to be applied to orders as needed.
To create a discount price modifier, follow these steps:
  1. Open OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Select Prices from the left.
  3. Ensure the current view is set to Price Modifiers.
  4. Click the button labeled New Price Modifier.
  5. Name the price modifier.
  6. Leave the Type (found under the Advanced tab) as a General Option.
  7. Change the Calculation Type to Fixed Amount or Fixed Percent, depending if your discount is a flat amount (e.g. -$5) or a flat percentage (e.g. -5%).
  8. In the Amount field, enter a minus sign or dash (-), followed by the amount you wish to discount.
  9. Save the price modifier.
