How to Create a Charge for Dimensional Weight

OnTime makes it easy to set up price calculations that involve charging based on dimensional weight. Follow these steps to create a price modifier that charges incrementally based on dimensional weight:
  1. Open Prices view of OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Ensure that the Price Modifiers view is selected.
  3. Click the button labeled New Price Modifier from the top left.
  4. Enter a Name to identify the price modifier.
  5. Set the Calculation Type to Incremental Overage Amount.
  6. Specify the Increment at which the value is applied. For example, an increment of "1" would apply the charge for every unit in the Field, whereas "10" would apply the charge for every 10 units.
  7. Set the Field to Cubic Dimensions.
  8. Enter the amount to charge per increment of cubic dimension into the Amount field.
  9. Enter the dimensional weight factor that your company uses into the DIM factor field.
  10. Click OK to save the price modifier.
