How to Manage Price Modifiers within a Price Set

When choosing the price modifiers to be included in a price set, selecting the right options will ensure that your price set works exactly as it should. Proper setup also ensures a user-friendly experience for both dispatchers and visitors to the OnTime Customer Web Portal.
The following steps and descriptions will help you to make the right choices:
  1. Open the Prices list in OnTime Management Suite and select the Price Sets view.
  2. Create a New Price Set or open an existing one.
  3. Choose the Price Modifiers tab within the price set editor. This will display a list titled Assigned Price Modifiers.
  4. Place a checkmark next to each price modifier to be associated with the price set. This will ensure the selected price modifier is available whenever the price set is used.
  5. Under the Selection State column, a drop-down list will appear for any selected price modifier. Select one of the following options:
    • Not Selected by Default: The price modifier will be available but not selected by default when creating new orders that use the price set. The user can toggle the price modifier on and off.
    • Selected by Default: The price modifier will be available and selected by default when creating new orders that use the price set. The user can toggle the price modifier on and off.
    • Required (Always Selected): The price modifier will be available and selected by default when creating new orders that use the price set. The user cannot deselect the price modifier.
  6. If the selected price modifier used percentage as part of the calculation type, a Configure button will appear. Click this button to configure which price modifiers should be included when calculating percentages.
  7. Click OK to save the price set.
