How to Create a Charge that is Based on a Custom Amount

Some companies may wish to charge a fee based on a miscellaneous factor such as stairs climbed or time waited. OnTime allows administrators to create modifiers to charge fees based on custom amounts.
To create a price modifier based on a custom amount, follow these steps:
  1. Open OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Select the Prices view.
  3. Ensure that the current view is set to Price Modifiers.
  4. Click the button labeled New Price Modifier.
  5. Name the price modifier.
  6. Change the Calculation Type to either Fixed Overage Amount or Incremental Overage Amount, depending on the desired type of charge.
  7. Set the Field to Custom Amount.
  8. Enter the Amount you wish to charge.
  9. Save the price modifier.
Each order that employs this price modifier will have a custom amount field labeled with the name assigned in step 5.
