What is a Dispatcher or Driver Price Set?

A dispatcher or driver price set compensates a worker based on zone rates. If you aren’t sure when or how to apply a dispatcher or driver price set, then here are some guidelines and considerations:
  • A dispatcher or driver price set is used to compensate users only. It cannot be used to charge customers.
  • To create a user price set, you must first set up zones within OnTime. Then, when building the user price set, go to the Base Price by Zone section within the Price Set Editor and fill in the rates that drivers should be paid when making a delivery from and to the various zones.
  • For a worker to receive compensation from a user price set, the worker must be set up as a User in OnTime. Once the user record has been created, you will need to go to the Employment tab and select the user price set’s name in the Driver Compensation Price Set drop-down list.
  • A driver can only have one pay price set at a time.
