Diagnose Permission Issues in OnTime Mobile

This article applies to the OnTime Mobile apps for iOS and Android.
If proper permissions have not been granted to the OnTime Mobile app, certain features will not work properly. Follow these steps to check the permissions set on the device for the OnTime Mobile app:
For iOS:
  1. Open Settings and navigate to OnTime Mobile
For Android:
  1. Open Settings and navigate to OnTime Mobile > Permissions

Camera

Problem: App crashes upon tapping the camera button to attach an image to an order or tapping the scan barcode button.
Solution: Check that permission is granted for Camera.

Photos or Storage

Problem: App crashes when trying to save an image after selecting it from the gallery or taking it with the camera and confirming it in the camera.
Solution: Check that permission is granted for Photos in iOS or Storage in Android.

Location

Problem: Location tracking is not working; no tracking information is transmitted to OnTime Dispatch.
Solution: Check that permission is granted for Location. Within iOS, ensure that location is set to Always.
