How to Resolve the Error: Could not connect to the OnTime Server

Generally a problem like this is caused by the security or firewall software on your computer. To determine if this error is being cause by your computer’s security software, follow these steps:
  1. Temporarily disable the software. Your security software’s documentation should be able to tell you how to temporarily disable it.
  2. Test if OnTime is able to connect.
If OnTime is now able to connect, chances are your security software is blocking OnTime’s connection to the server. To whitelist OnTime, consult your security software’s documentation or contact the software provider. Common security applications are: Trend Micro, Norton Antivirus, Panda Security, McAfee, AVG, Kaspersky Lab, Avast!, ESET, and Avira.
Note: Remember to re-enable your security software after you have completed the test above.
