How to use Priority SMS Workflow Notifications

OnTime's Priority SMS Service is a fast and reliable way of sending SMS text messages to drivers, dispatchers, administrators, and customers.

Step 1: Configure a Notification Template

Follow the steps below to set up a Priority SMS notification:
  1. Log in to OnTime Management Suite.
  2. Select the Workflow Notification Designer under the Home tab in the ribbon at the top of the application window.
  3. Click the New button in the Workflow Notification Designer.
  4. Provide a Name to identify the notification.
  5. Set the Scope to Anyone can trigger this notification.
  6. Configure the Area and Event to the desired settings.
  7. Set the Action field to Send SMS Text Message.
  8. Click into the To field to give it focus. Then click the Insert Special Field button at the bottom of the designer window.
  9. Select the Mobile Number you wish to use, then click OK to insert the special field. Supported fields are:
    • Customer > Mobile Number
    • Driver > Mobile Number
    • Dispatcher > Mobile Number
  10. Add the desired message in the large text box in the designer window.
  11. Click OK to save the notification.

Step 2: Purchase Priority SMS Service

OnTime's Priority SMS Service requires that your account has a positive SMS balance to send. Purchase credit toward your SMS balance by following these steps:
  1. Sign in to your account via the My Account portal here: https://www.ontime360.com/account/purchase-priority-sms
  2. On the Purchase Priority SMS Service page, enter the amount to be credited toward your SMS balance. The amount can be any amount between $20 and $2,000 USD.
  3. Click the Purchase Priority SMS Service button and follow the instructions to complete the purchase.
  4. Once payment has been made successfully, the SMS balance will increase by the amount paid. If the balance is greater than $0, you will be able to send Priority SMS Service messages.
